After Dublin’s mighty win in Croke Park on Sunday the 20th of September the Dublin Fans came out in their thousands to welcome home the boys in blue on Dublin’s iconic O’ Connell Street.
The day started off with a reception at the Mansion House where the Lord Mayor Críona Ní Dhálaigh honored the team. They then made their way to O’ Connell street to greet over 30,000 fans. The Logues played some Irish classics in style to warm up the crowd in anticipation for the team.

When the team arrived Des Cahill ensured they got the welcome they deserved! The boys clearly enjoyed their time up on the stage engaging the crowd with some singing and a bit of a dance off! But the biggest welcome of all was for the Sam Maguire itself as captain Stephen Cluxton held it high for everyone to see.
An astonishing amount of planning went into this event, but it certainly paid off. The sense of community and welcoming from the fans tied the whole event together and a great evening was had by all.
