Finally…Paddy’s weekend is almost upon us! If you haven’t made plans, fear not as the kind souls that we are here at Davis Events decided we would do all the hard work for you. We have catered for all with our suggestions so you’re sure to to have a great weekend!
1.Irish craft beer & Cider Festival
Date: 16th March 2016 – 19th March 2016
Tickets: From €10
CALLING ALL HIPSTERS, THE MOTHERSHIP HAS ARRIVED!! This annual event is back with a bang this year. With a selection of over 50 stands and 200 craft beers from all over Ireland, this event should really quench your thirst. There are a limited number of tickets available at the door on Saturday so make sure to get there early.
2. Visit Temple Bar
Free
The heart of Irish culture lies in Temple bar. Whether you are looking to find somewhere to eat/drink or just to soak up the atmosphere, a visit here is a must at some point over the weekend. So if you’re on the hunt for amazing cocktails then is has to be the Vintage Cocktail Club or if it’s a pint of the black stuff The Temple Bar is the place to go.
3. Dundrum Town Centre
Date: 17th & 19th March 2016
Free
This one is for the kiddies in your life! Dundrum Town Centre always go above and beyond when it comes to children’s events in the centre and this weekend is set to be no different. With lots of surprises in store your little ones are sure to go home smiling (and tired) after a series of hands on St. Patrick’s day activities, which include face painting, arts & crafts, interactive story tellers and a young engineers workshop.
4. St. Patrick’s Festival 5k
Date: 20th March 2016
Tickets: €20
What a great way to shake off a weekend of pure indulgence, this 5k will be sure to make you sweat out your sins. The route takes you through Georgian Dublin and the streets will be lined with supporters, musicians and street performers to give that little boost should you need it.
5.Le Drunch @ The Marker
Date: 20th March 2016
With a hectic weekend behind you Le Drunch begins at 2pm allowing you to dream amongst the clouds for a few extra hours (how nice of them) before the dreaded Sunday fear kicks in. Im dying to do this so if someone wants to take me that would be great.
6. 6 Nations Rugby
Date: 19th March 2016
The final weekend of the 6 Nations tournament takes place on paddy’s weekend so make sure you pencil it into your diaries. I’m sure we’ll all be on tender hooks waiting to see who gets to take home the championship. The fixtures are;
