3 things that interest you and why?
People, culture and sport. I love meeting, getting to know and working with new people from all over the world and I have learned so much from other people. Culture, music and the arts are more and more important to all of us for fun, mental health and a great way to escape! I’m largely an armchair sports fan but still love running and it’s a great way to see the world whether it’s Killarney or Koh Samui
Life before Davis Events?
I was lucky to get to work with DJ’s and bands like The Chemical Brothers, Fat Boy Slim, U2, and Carl Cox as well as Irish DJ’s and producers on live shows, festivals and music publishing. I set up Davis Events Agency to help companies, organisations and brands harness the magic of events.

As a Mayo man, Gaelic Football is always on the agenda but I tend to have a love/hate relationship with Croke Park. I do quite a lot of volunteering with Tusla and my local Foroige club as I love working with young people and I also love to travel, I have been all around Europe, New York and South East Asia is next!
Life before Davis Events?
Before I joined Davis I worked in the UCD Students Union for 2 years as Campaigns and Entertainments Officer which was a job I absolutely loved, I was sad to leave the student life! I also completed a (covid) Masters degree and worked in the events and festival industry since, no going back now!

After school, I went straight into broadcasting and worked for 5 years as a Radio Presenter, fronting my own show and taking on other duties in the station such as Content Creator, Street Team Lead and Social Media Presenter.
A crucial element of my role was connecting with my on-air listeners even when the mic was off – cue social media which is 24/7. This sparked my interest for social media and communications, leading me to up-skill in the area and as they say, the rest is history!

The team!! The diversity of events and clients. The buildup to create exceptional events dealing with all different stakeholders, lots of suppliers and teams and then the day the event is happening and things work perfectly together.

Scuba diving, sailing, motorbikes and prog-rock concerts – I know they are 4 but they are all equally important in my life. And why, will be explained in the next question.
Life before Davis Events?
I used to live in France, Germany, Greece, Australia and Thailand before moving to Ireland. While living in Europe I criss-crossed Europe by motorbike with friends every weekend and longer during the summer in my free time. I then moved to Oz and South-East Asia where I worked as dive instructor spending many years on boats and at the sea, before working as operations manager for a dive company in Thailand. I then moved to Ireland working for a few years in the Convention Centre Dublin before joining Davis Events full-time. If I’m not on the bike, in the water, on a boat or working at an event, I might be at some great prog-rock festival somewhere in Europe – some things never change.
