The month of January is automatically associated with the mantra “new year, new me” and with that many have jumped on the healthy eating bandwagon (me included). However that doesn’t mean you have to kiss your social life goodbye, so we here at Davis events thought we would give you a helping hand in keeping the new years resolutions alive.

1.The Lo-Cal Kitchen

Low Cal Kitchen

When I first thought about this topic for a blog I new this place just had to be included. Aside from its amazing menu, its picturesque setting on the outskirts of the Phoenix Park should make you want to go on that basis alone. The homely décor and the delicate crockery makes you feel like you’re eating in your granny’s kitchen. The menu is all made from organic produce and if that’s not enough the owner Jenny studied nutrition before opening so rest assured she knows her stuff!

2.The Cracked Nut

The Cracked Nut

This place is always a winner when it comes to health conscious eaters. Whether you are looking for a salad or a soup and sandwich combo this place has it all, not to mention their range of healthy deserts. The wide variety of energy balls are to die for. Its located on Camden street so if you’re bopping around town be sure to drop in.

3.Staple Foods

Staple Foods

You have to try this place; I’m not giving you a choice. They pride themselves on balanced processed foods that are fundamentally good for you. It has two different restaurants; Temple Bar & Grattan Street and both have different menus giving you an array of healthy choices (the Mexican salad is the stuff of dreams).

For people on the go, you need Chopped in your life. It has 4 different locations around Dublin so there’s bound to be one near by. Its quick, easy and healthy, what’s not to love? They also have a pre-order option and a delivery service so I’m afraid your excuses for eating a chicken fillet roll and a packet of crisps just wont cut it.

5. Borlottie

We couldn’t leave out our Paleo cavemen now could we? Good healthy food is the main aim at Borlottie . The menu ranges from plain & simple porridge to Asian noodle boxes. Some of the meals have also been recommended by CrossFit Ireland which I’m sure will make all you gym buffs out there very happy.
