Here at Davis Events Agency we can’t wait to try out some of our favourite cocktails and seasonal drinks! So with Christmas just around the corner we have the perfect excuse to share them with our friends and get creative with mulled wine kits and festive frozen vodka bottles!
Cranberry Vodka
P Diddy loves his Vodka and like him this fruity Vodka drink is best served chilled. It’s a really special festive quaff. To make this delicious drink begin by pricking all the berries a few times with a fork and layer them up in a large Kilner Jar with sugar sprinkled on top.
Pour the Vodka and leave in the freezer for 2 weeks. Shake the Jar every day and don’t be tempted to drink it until it is ready – it’s worth the wait!!
Have you tried P Diddy’s favourite Vodka – Ciroc?
Amaretto Fizz
A quick, delicious cocktail is the best way to kick off any dinner party and always goes down a treat with guests! That’s why we think Amaretto Fizz is perfect for adding a little fizz to your party!
Just mix the Disaronno, orange juice and sparkling wine in a jug (or jugs!) and a strip of orange zest to each glass.
The Classic!! Irish Hot Whiskey
Nick Offerman who plays Ron Swanson in Parks and Recreation loves Lagavulin 16 Whiskey, but for this one make sure to use a great Irish Whiskey like Jameson and don’t forget to heat the glass and add cloves and lemon.
Looking for something different to do with your Whiskey over the Holidays? Try the Don Draper signature the Old Fashioned.
Organic Mulled Cider
Our team here in the office tried Donal Skehan’s Irish Mulled Cider recipe for something different (as part of our research) and everyone loved it!
Homemade Mulled Cider is delicious and it is really easy to make – ideal for winter and holiday entertaining.
It takes only a few minutes to prepare and can be used for small gatherings up to large parties. Give this your own twist by adding spices and your favourite liqueurs.
Frozen Festive Tequila Bottle
Start off by putting your bottle of Tequila (or Gin or Vodka) inside a 2-litre carton. Then add some leaves, herbs, holly branches, berries and citrus / zest into the carton so it all sits beside the tequila bottle. Carefully stand the bottle in the freezer and leave for a few hours so everything freezes around the outside bottle.
This idea for holiday parties is really fun and an excuse to get creative. It is also perfect to bring along as a gift idea!
When you’re ready to serve, quickly run the outside of the carton under a lukewarm tap and slide the carton off. This keeps the tequila bottle cold for the party with the frozen herbs and leaves frozen on the outside so it looks great as a party piece!
Let us know what you are using for your Winter and Holiday parties this year, we are always on the lookout for new ideas!
